How to spot recruitment scams
With scams across all industries becoming increasingly sophisticated, fraudsters are constantly looking for new areas to explore. This has lead to a large increase in recruitment scams.
At D&M Associate we have complied a list of our top tips to spot a potential scam:
Beware of Upfront Payment Requests: Legitimate employers will never ask for money, fees, or personal financial information during the application process. Be cautious if asked to pay for job applications, background checks, or any other services upfront.
Look for Professional Communication: Pay attention to the quality of communication from the employer. Beware of poor grammar, spelling errors, and unprofessional email addresses, as these can be signs of a scam.
Check the Email Domain: Verify the email address of the sender. Legitimate employers usually use official company domains for their communications.
Be Cautious of Vague Job Descriptions: Scammers often provide vague or generic job descriptions lacking specific details. Legitimate employers typically offer clear and detailed job descriptions.
Watch for Unusual Interview Processes: Be wary of instant job offers without proper interviews or evaluations. Legitimate employers take time to conduct interviews and assess candidates' qualifications.
D&M Associate email addresses will only ever take the following formats:

If you are contacted by someone whose email address varies from this format, please do not respond.
